All the Euro brands are expensive to maintain… to me it's just a cost of ownership. I've had my Duc. all over the US – it's had minor issues and recalls that I'd not expect from a Japanese bike but it's also been reliable for 50,000 miles over 3 years. Would I buy another Ducati? Well I'll probably be getting a Tuono next unless a new super naked is released by Ducati (like a v4SF)… in which case – HELL yes I'll buy another Ducati.

  3. Tom Bucci Jr.

Thats why I love Yamaha's change the oil and go! No need for the extended warranty the dealer tried to sell me either.

  4. raw data

A motorcycle just isn't as much fun,,,,, until it's paid for.
With such high maintenance costs,,,,a Ducati would never seem like it's paid in full.

    I'm a rice-rocket jockey for life.
My WR250R gives me a semi-permanent erection,,,, for cheap.
Can't ask for much more than that.

  5. Mark Mason

As evidenced by your giggle when you roll back on the throttle and your description of how you appreciate the visceral nature of that bike, you are starting to reluctantly appreciate and enjoy another side of motorcycling. Fear not that your Ducati doesn't seem the the most pragmatic or financially sound decision. It's not, but neither would dating a supermodel. Who would turn down the chance to do that? Let the reluctance go and enjoy the thrill for however long it lasts. Bottom line: which bike will you prattle on about to your grandkids when you're old?

  6. Ferrous Cromagnon

All of those 3 wheeled machines are, in my opinion, worthless. You get all of the drawbacks of a motorcycle, but none of the benefits.

  7. Michael Lachica

I hate how moto vloggers, share their thoughts while riding, I just clicked here just to know some wisdom about bikes but, the bike sound is so annoying and also you guys always gets sidetracked and pauses for a moment before stating some necessary facts which really makes the video annoying. If you want to share your opinion just share it, don't share it while riding. If it's a first ride review it's tolerable

  8. P Banks

If Ducati comes out with the V4 Panigale based Street Fighter I can't imagine me passing that up. It will be damn expensive, my last Ducati SF based off the Testestretta engine wasn't cheap, so if that new one comes out it will be about what your X Diavel-S would be out the door brand new. Please Ducati, do it I'm a sucker for punishment.

  9. Gerald Scott

You've run into the problem I ran into with cars and motorcycles decades ago. I am an auto mechanic, have been for over 36 years now. But today's cars and bikes are no longer repairable within any kind of reason. That's what made me go with vintage cars and bikes. Being a mechanic, I wanted something that was both repairable and rebuildable. I have a 1964 Ford car, and a 1965 Chevy truck. I have a 1997 Harley Superglide with a carbureted EVO engine, a 2013 Royal Enfield Bullet converted to an Amal carb, and a 1979 Vespa P200E 2 stroke manual shift scooter. All of these vehicles have one thing in common. Unless stolen or destroyed in an accident, they can be easily repaired, and in fact can be rebuilt from the ground up mechanically. A friend of mine has a 1947 Beechcraft V35 V-tail Bonanza. That's right, it's 71 years old. But it still looks like new, and flies like new. It passes it's annual inspection with no problem every year. It is a beautiful aircraft. And unless destroyed, it can be kept flying for hundreds of years. Cars and bikes are the same way. Why aren't there millions of 50+ year old cars and motorcycles on the road? Why didn't their owners choose to repair or rebuild them when they wore out instead of buying new junk. As a mechanic, that's what I do. Repair and rebuild. But today's cars and bikes simply don't lend themselves to that. They are for the most part nothing more than computers on wheels, and they were designed from the ground up to be not only disposable, but even recyclable. To me, that makes them meaningless. They were literally designed as scrap. To have meaning to me, and to be able to enjoy riding/driving them, they must be something with no predetermined lifespan. Old vehicles can be kept going for several lifetimes. According to what I read in a motorcycle magazine, the 1969 Honda CB750K0 was the worlds first disposable motorcycle. Meaning it cost more to rebuild than replace. And that whole philosophy is just dead wrong to me.

  10. Shadwox

your lucky to own a xdiavels my friend ive look to buy one this past winter but the price was way to much for me but see you riding this beautiful bike make my day continue your good work dude keep on riding and be safe

  11. Kevin O'Malley

Hey Cyclecruza, what's up baby! You should stay with Ducati since it gives you so much pleasure, regardless of the price.

  12. Riley Knights

Cycle cruza I watch your videos just to hear you talk. I love the way you get so excited when the throttle crank syndrome hits and say feels good baby! Love you

  13. Observing Rogue

Your crisis reminds me of a song I haven't heard in years.

    My mind says no…

    BUT MY BoDYyyy!

    Is tellin' yeEssss!….

    I don't see nothing wroooooong.

  14. Chris Wright

What a ridiculous vlog. There is nothing in this or any other videos from him that inform me positively or negatively about bikes. He just waffles on and on… and on… sigh

  15. Yaksha2201

Like the style of your mvlogs! Keep up man..
Many people don't understand you and your mindset.
    We are warriors!!

  16. Jakey B

Stop fucking moaning what If this happens what if that happens just enjoy the fucking bike people dream about a bike like that and all you do is complain it’s fucking tedious used to like watching you CC you’ve lost the plot

  17. alanlancer008

Well you riding a expensive bike in general so what’s the point of this video. All 1000cc bikes are beautiful n pricy. 1299 new 20k not bad for a Ducati

  18. Puddin Tame

All motorcycles are EGO pumps. Especially when they are "believed" to be pricey. I have a 2004 Ducati ST3. Everyone thinks I'm on a $40,000 bike. Yeah no. $4000. Long time subber. Good work Cruza!

  19. Douglas Elliott

Cruza; If you haven't noticed ALL the manufacturers are loading their bikes with 'electronics' that are both integral to their operation and COSTLY to fix/replace after the warranty expires. Try replacing the 'Traction control' or Dynamic suspension, or riding condition 'Mode' choice on a 4-year-old R1 or S1000. The cost to fix it equals a healthy downpayment on a NEW bike.

I was a legal messenger before E-mail and PDFs came along. I knew of a dozen or more colleague's liter bikes with over 100K miles being ridden hard daily and put away wet every nite. These trendy 'electronic' systems are what hobble and cripple contemporary motorcycles and effectively make them too costly to repair after 3+ years and 20,000 miles. I rode a 1985 BMW K100RT 230,000 miles before an accident forced its retirement. Try that with any of the current BMW's without investing twice the original principle paid in replacing electronics over the years/miles.

  20. Douglas Velasquez

Please don't show us your drawers again man! I know you're trying to make a point but really, damn?! It's embarrassing/gross LoL

  21. Chuck Bowen

If you knew how the valve train was designed on a Ducati…you would never buy one. Every one since 1956 have what's called a desmodronic valve train. Prone to failure and very expensive to fix. A valve adjust can cost north of a thousand dollars. Desmodronic valve trains not only have a rocker to push the valve down…the have another to lift it…very prone to self destruct. Honda solved problems by going to special valves and titanium springs.
