Red Ledge Men’s Thunderlight Pants review

What’s up guys! Bird from birdknowsbest.com doing a review on the red ledge men’s thunderlight pull-on rain pant. What these are are just some portable rain pants that comes in this nice small case here. I’ll give you the dimensions of this here. It runs about 8 1/2 inches by about 3 1/2 inches. So it’s very small, very portable. You can put in your backpack, in your tackle box or anywhere you need it. These are size XL. I normally wear right around 32-34 jeans so they do run small so I would get one size bigger.

So I’ve taken the pants out of the little bag that they come with and here’s what you get for your pants, they’re very light weight.

The men’s red ledge thunderlight pull on rain pant weighs 8.3 ounces including its small carry bag. There is a zipper up the bag right up the pants. That is waterproof. That is the only zipper on the pants. There are no belt loops so if you want to use a multi tool or a knife then you’re going to have to use the belt that you have on the pants that you have underneath. These are just this toggles here to tighten them.

The other thing I’ll point out is that on the bottom of the pants, the width of the bottom is just about 9 inches, maybe just a little over 9 inches so I’m not sure if they’re going to fit over your boot but there is no zipper here to expand them to make it wider so you may have to take your boots off to make them fit.

Here we are. We got these red ledge rain pants on in a nice Wisconsin August day. About to grill some brats using the Columbia Rain jacket as well. And we’re going to see how dry I stay after this. It’s raining quite hard, wouldn’t you say Molly? I mean it’s raining very hard. She’s got on an umbrella. I guess that we only got the rain pocket here with these.

Very light, they fit in the jacket of the coat so that’s good. So I’m going to grill the broths and let you know how they work. Alright guys so I’ve been from the storm here and it was raining hard out there so I’ve get the red ledge and I’m going to take them of f and see how dry they kept me. As fast as I can here team. I can tell you initially, my legs feel pretty dry. At least I can use them for later. They’re pretty dry, I’m doing pretty well. Nothing here. I was sitting down out there while I was grilling the broths. I’m dry all over, dry on the backside. I’m dry all over. So it’s good money.

Like I said though the red ledge rain pants, they’ve got that one back pocket which I’d like that to be more but for 35 bucks, a guy can’t complain. Available on amazon, I’ll put the link bellow. Check them out.

They’re really small too and they fit in that nice small pouch so I just put them in my Columbia raincoat so they’re great for that.

And we’re going to get large with things like this. I got an extra large so make sure you get a size bigger but with 8 ounces, 35 bucks you can’t go wrong. I’m really happy with them. They’re not super heavy duty but when you need rain pants that are portable these are the ones to get.
