Cloud Computing is not the same as Utility Computing

Cloud Computing is not the same as Utility Computing. I saw this, read a little bit about this but couldn’t understand in the first instance what the difference was. So, I set myself up to find out what the difference was. My Sources after a little bit of searching and figuring out were WikipediaProcessor.comand Gigaom.com. Wikipedia doesnot go too much in depth in figuring out the difference between just these two and gives us a brief idea about the various forms of computing which are confused with Cloud Computing.

Setting up and Analyzing Google Analytics for Facebook Fan Pages

Facebook Insights program is available to page administrators. Facebook Insights shows demographic details and interactions on your pages BUT limited to show information of fans only. It is far less sophisticated and comprehensive when compared to the free Google Analytics. One of the limitations of Facebook Fan pages is that you can only run limited Javascript on it and Google Analytics needs Javascript code included to correctly track visitors. We have successfully managed to get ALL functions of Google Analytics working on our Facebook fan page (including visitor statistics, traffic sources, visitor country, keyword searches with all other powerful reporting & maps overlays etc).

Social Wars!!!

“When everyone is playing social games with friends, then why play akele?” This is the main tagline of an Indian social networking website for its recently launched social games. Being a Internet freak I feel that these games are just a newer version of the old stand-alone games. With better internet speeds and lots of social networking, the games have spread their wings from just being played on standalone PCs to now being played directly in the cloud. Making a branded Facebook fan page

Facebook fan pages work. From every movie releasing on the next Friday to Reality Show going on in the television, everyone wants a fan page. As my dear friend Saahil would say, it is all a part of the engagement plan :) . However, these days fan pages tend to do a lot more than just send out their updates to the fans and let the users talk amongst themselves.
