I like the design of the HP Spectre x360 and the Surface Book 2 but i can't afford any of them. For the highest specification (core i7 and 1tb storage) the Surface Book 2 is £3000 🙁

The Surface Book 2 was far and away the winner here. As long as you can afford it, it is definitely the one to get.

I heard with "routine" use Dell says with the 4K display they can get 10 hours of battery life? Also I think overall durability and future proofing the best laptop is the Dell

This HP spectre has problem in hinge design (don't be fooled by design) After some time, its hinges are start to making noise which like old rust bolts.

Can you test battery life of the Spectre when you turn the resolution down to 1080p? And also, how's the fan noise on that thing? I heard that just using the internet makes the fans rev up.

I was going to buy one but I'll wait till they go to 8nm CPU and work on the heating issue. For the money it's not worth it to me

I love Lisa and happy she's producing content but I need these to be closer to 6-8min, can someone give me the TLDR summary?

Years ago I did all Dell products but they weren't that great, their service at the time was pretty bad, and I found out they would do stupid proprietary things to make self service and upgrades difficult to impossible, things like change the universal standard connection of power supplies so you'd have to get those kinds of things from them. I remember it being a big to do because people wouldn't necessarily be aware of this and pcs would fry and smoke. So since then I've pretty much written Dell off, except I have purchased gaming consoles if the sale was good.

My question is, has Dell changed their ways in general, and is everything on this particular Dell model pretty standard so if someone gets it they aren't beholden to Dell for upgrades/replacement parts? Otherwise I'm leaning heavily to the HP, which I think looks rather stunning. How is parts replacement/upgrades on the surface book, better than Dell? Worse? Great job btw!

You really should talk about the CPU fIrst. I’m more than half way through the video and still no mention of the CPU. Are they quad core or duo core? That shit is important.

    Tanks for the vid Lisa!
I'm coming from a surface pro 4 and considering the HP. I draw and note take a lot and am concerned about the pen accuracy and palm rejection being worse than my current laptop? (Watched your 2017 vid of the HP and it looked fairly bad)
Whats your experience with the 2018 model been like?

Since the Coffee Lake refresh, there have been a few gaming laptops (with similar specs) ready for a smackdown: Gigabyte's new Aero 15x, ASUS' ROG Zephyrus M [GM501], and MSI's GS65 Stealth Thin. Can Lisa smack these down?

Well, now that the 9570 has been officially placed on Dell’s site, I am patiently awaiting your review of the i9 model before I decide to purchase! Love your work! Keep it up!
