Whenever a startup like ours tries to move their applications to the cloud, they have to take a very careful decision about choosing the Cloud Provider and hence the research.

Torry Harris has recently published a very good report comparing the top Cloud Computing Service providers. We are moving some of the applications we are working on to the cloud and hence we doing a lot of research on what suits us the best. The report helped us in a lot of ways.

However, we are still not very satisfied about the information we have been able to gather about:
- The backup facilities provided by the various Cloud Vendors. The image based back ups are definitely not as good as the file by file back up we are used to.
- The service levels of each of the cloud vendor. What are the actual services provided by them? We have heard some good things and some bad things and we shall discover soon. Rest assured, we shall keep our readers well informed.
