3 Gmail plugins that make my inbox better

Lately, I have been writing less and only about my opinions on the Technology industry whilst giving a stop at covering nice new products. In the meanwhile, I have (over the last 1 year)  come across some very cool, tidy prodcuts. So, I thought it was time for me to pay my due and cover a couple of them. Today, I will be covering 3 Gmail plugin’s which make my inbox just a whole lot better. So, here you go. Here are the next 3 plugins for Gmail which you will install(If you haven’t already)

Rapportive: Brilliant, intuitive, magical and useful. Rapportive helps you know your contacts better(Even their moods). Once you install this plugin, you are asked to add raplets. You add the raplets like Crunchbase from which the plugin picks up information. You are also asked to connect your Google, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts. Seeing the current tweets(the mood) of a person instead of Google ad’s is pretty cool. Google has tried to replicate the functionality somewhat but it’s people widget is far from effective.

Rapportive is a must for a person looking for a job, for people looking for conatcts and for startups. It just works like charm. It gives you subtle information about the person you are getting in contact with. Say you are writing a mail to a person you don’t really know, but woah!! You have rapportive. You see all the information about the person on the right side. One click and you can see his LinkedIn profile without having to search.

Boomerang for Gmail: How long have you wanted to schedule your emails on Gmail. Boomerang for Gmail solves the purpose. It just does it in the collest poosible way. It also gives a way to send reminder. You can check out their cool demo.

Cloudmagic: Cloudmagic was introduced to me my Robert Scoble. Cloudmagic is like Google Instant Search for your gmail, google-docs, google calendar and google contacts. And, it doesn’t save anything on the server like Greplin. Greplin indexes the information you create on different websites. In case of Cludmagic everything remains on your local machine. It is all stored on your computer. The definite advantage is that you can search your gmail even when you are not connected to the internet. The downpart- It doesn’t search Google Chats yet. Cloudmagic is so much fun that it has now become my default search for Gmail. What makes me happier is that Cloudmagic comes from an Indian startup.

My view: If you are a gmail power user, these three plugin’s are  must have.

greplin puts your data in the cloud.I mean..has access to your data as it
needs to create the index(of your data) in the cloud..Has its own importance. We
      covered greplin at  http://microreviews.org/greplin-search-your-cloud-data/

Great review, thank you!  I’d used Cloud Magic and stopped, but completely agree with you on Rapportive.  I keep seeing Boomerang pop up, so now I’ll need to give that a try.
